Solitaire, specifically the Klondike variation, is perhaps the most famous single-player card game in the world. Your goal is to build four 'foundation' piles, one for each suit, from Ace to King. To do this, you must manipulate the cards in the seven 'tableau' columns on the main board. You can stack cards in the tableau in descending order and alternating colors (e.g., a red 9 on a black 10).

It’s a perfect puzzle for a short break. While 'FreeCell' is almost purely skill, Klondike Solitaire is a blend of strategy and luck of the draw. You must make the best of the hand you are dealt in Solitaire.

🎮 How to Play Solitaire

Your goal is to build the four foundation piles (usually at the top) from Ace to King by suit.

• Deal cards from the stock pile (top left) to the waste pile.
• Move cards between the seven tableau columns. You can only place a card on another card that is one rank higher and of the opposite color.
• You can move entire stacks of cards (e.g., a 7, 6, 5) as a single unit.
• If a tableau column becomes empty, you can only place a King there.
• Move cards to the foundation piles whenever possible, starting with the Aces.

The key strategy is to uncover the face-down cards in the tableau as quickly as possible. This gives you more options. Don't be afraid to use the undo button if you spot a better move.
